SUMMARY:Women's Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:In the Sermon on the Mount\, Jesus declares\, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them” (Matthew 5:17).  Last year\, we studied Jesus’ Galilean Ministry (Chapters 1-13). This year\, we will learn about Jesus’ Journey to Jerusalem (Chapters 14-28). Jesus foretold his death and resurrection\, telling his disciples in Matthew 20:18-19\, ” See\, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the Chief Priests and Scribes\, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified\, and he will be raised on the third day.” \nWe will once again hold two separate meeting times:\n• Wednesday Evenings 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. via Zoom\,\n• Thursday Mornings 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. in person at NAPC\, \nWhile we will be studying the same Scriptures\, each group has its own particular style and format. The Wednesday evening group includes the opportunity to discuss the Scripture\, pray together\, and fellowship with other class members. The Thursday morning group focuses on spiritual formation practices and prayer\, offering an opportunity for in-person fellowship. For more information\, please contact Elizabeth Gieseking (Wednesday) at elizabethrgieseking@gmail.com or Carolyn Christ (Thursday) at carolyngchrist@aol.com.
