The Avenue – November 4th outing to the Margaret Mitchell House
We invite you to be a part our November 4th outing to the Margaret Mitchell House in Midtown Atlanta—where history, literature, and culture come together in the very spot where Gone with the Wind was born.
This engaging museum–on the National Register of Historic Places and part of the Atlanta History Center Midtown campus—invites visitors to explore period restored rooms, original leaded glass windows, and a replica of her 1920s writing desk. Interactive guided tours delve into the realities behind the romanticized Old South, addressing the cultural legacy and myths of the Civil War and Reconstruction.
Date: Tuesday, November 4th
Time: 10:45 meet at North Avenue and will return for lunch after the tour.
Cost: Our group rate will be $15.50 a person. Boxed Lunch is $10 per person.
